Encrypted client intake

Tell us your matter without sending it across the open internet.

Instructing a Kenyan advocate from abroad usually means emailing title deeds, death certificates or family details to somebody you have never met. We built something better.

When you get in touch we send you a private intake link. Everything you enter, and every document you attach, is locked on your own phone before it is sent. Only this firm holds the key that opens it — not the company that stores the data, not the company that runs this page.

  • Three to five minutesOn your phone, in your own time zone. Questions that do not apply are skipped.
  • Your link alonePrivate to you, works once, and never listed anywhere on this website.
  • Documents, not email attachmentsEncrypted before they leave your device, file names included.
  • A quotation, not a guessWe see what actually drives the fee, so the figure you get is scoped properly.
Ask on WhatsApp

Sending the form does not create an advocate and client relationship. That begins when we have agreed terms in writing.

How it works

  1. You tell us roughly what the matter is, by WhatsApp, email or the form on this page.
  2. We send you a private link for your type of matter, and nobody else can use it.
  3. You answer what applies to you. Your progress is kept if you are interrupted.
  4. We review it and come back with the next step and a scoped quotation.

Encrypted document intake

What happens to a title deed you send us.

Most Kenyan firms take documents by email attachment. We do not. When you are sent a private intake link, what you write and what you attach are locked on your own device first, and only this firm can open them.

  1. 01

    On your device

Your browser makes a key for this submission alone, then locks your answers, every file and every file name with it. The key is built from the firm’s public key and a throwaway one of your own.

  2. 02

    In transit and at rest

What travels is ciphertext. The throwaway private key is discarded the moment it has done its work, so it is never sent and never stored — not by the host, not by the database, not by us.

  3. 03

    In this office

An advocate unlocks it with the firm’s private key, which is itself held under a passphrase and unwrapped in the browser at the moment of reading.

Locked before it leaves you

  • Every answer you type
  • Every document you attach
  • The file names themselves
  • Unfinished drafts, under a key even we cannot read

Readable to us before unlocking

  • Which kind of matter the form is for
  • Triage flags, so urgent matters are seen first
  • How many documents arrived, and which expected ones did not
  • Your email address, if you ask for a confirmation — used once to send it, never stored

We say this plainly because an encryption claim is worth nothing without it. This much stays in the clear so the matter can be triaged and missing documents chased while the rest is still sealed. It is never the contents.

What needs protecting in Kenya?

Start with the situation closest to yours. Each route opens a short diagnostic on the relevant service page; it does not create an engagement or commit you to a fee.

01 Property

Buying or managing property

Put verification before payment and keep every step visible while you are abroad.

  • You are buying land, a home or an investment property.
  • A relative or agent is coordinating documents on your behalf.
  • Property investigation: Written scope and fee after document review
  • Buyer conveyancing: Schedule 1 illustration available; seller and final scope in writing

02 Succession

Planning inheritance or family wealth

Create a clear legal record before distance, delay or family uncertainty turns into conflict.

  • You own Kenyan assets and need a will or estate plan.
  • An estate needs probate, administration or dispute support.
  • Standard Kenyan will: Written scope and fee after planning review
  • Family trust establishment: Quoted after an initial planning assessment

Beyond property and succession

Other matters we handle for clients abroad

  • Powers of attorney and remote document execution
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Property and inheritance disputes
  • Company and investment structuring
  • Contract review and shareholder arrangements
  • Debt recovery and court representation
  • Oversight of transactions involving relatives, agents or local representatives

Remote, not distant

A visible route from first message to completion.

Physical attendance may still be required where Kenyan law, a court, a registry or a transaction demands it. We identify that early rather than promising that every step is digital.

  1. Share the context

Tell us where you are based, what exists in Kenya and the decision or deadline in front of you.

You do not need to organise everything first.

  2. Verify the record

We identify the documents, searches and Kenyan procedure needed before anyone commits funds or authority.

This is where preventable surprises are found.

  3. Agree the scope

You receive a written scope, fee and delivery path before substantive legal work begins.

No substantive work starts before you see the plan.

  4. Execute with updates

Work moves through a structured remote workflow, with clear updates and physical attendance only where required.

You are kept informed without chasing for updates.

When the checklist becomes a real matter

Choose the level of support you need.

A first conversation clarifies fit and scope. It does not create an advocate–client relationship until the engagement is confirmed in writing.

Sessions can be scheduled around your local time zone — GMT, EST, CST and beyond.

Before you instruct us

Practical questions from abroad.

The questions every Kenyan abroad asks before trusting a lawyer with their land or estate.

Can the work be handled while I remain abroad?

Much of the initial scoping, document review, verification and client communication can be handled remotely. We will identify any step that legally or practically requires physical attendance before the engagement begins.

How should I share identity and property documents?

Begin with copies through the secure channel agreed with the firm. Do not send originals or sensitive identity records to an unverified agent, relative or public link.

Will I know the fee before work starts?

Yes. After scoping the facts and urgency, the firm confirms the work, exclusions, professional fee and likely disbursements in writing before substantive work begins.

How do you verify Kenyan property?

The checks depend on the property, registry and transaction. They commonly include ownership and register checks, restrictions or charges, survey and occupation issues, rates or rent, consents and the seller’s legal capacity.

Can a power of attorney solve everything remotely?

No. A power of attorney is a specific authority document, not a substitute for due diligence or legal advice. Its form, execution, registration and limits should be confirmed for the intended task before it is used.

Do I need a will, a trust or a succession application?

That depends on whether you are planning ahead or administering an existing estate, how the assets are held and the family circumstances. The first step is a complete asset and ownership record, followed by tailored advice.

How quickly will the firm respond?

The team aims to acknowledge a complete enquiry within one business day and will then confirm the information needed to scope the work properly.
